Swadesi Way’s Coconut Oil is made from native Malabar coconuts sourced directly from trusted farmers around Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Instead of using ready-made copra, the fresh native coconuts are first sun-dried into copra before being slowly cold pressed at just 16-18 RPM. The oil is then naturally settled for several days and filtered once through muslin cloth, without refining or additives.
This gentle process preserves its natural aroma, flavor, and nutrient profile. Perfect for daily Indian cooking, oil pulling, and Ayurvedic wellness practices, it supports digestion and nourishes skin and hair.
Farm to Bottle Journey
This coconut oil is made by Sriram Food, Coimbatore, a family-run manufacturer that has been working with coconut farmers in the region for over a decade.
They source coconuts from around 14 trusted farming families, across 200+ acres of land near Coimbatore, with a few in nearby Tiruppur and Erode. Rather than purchasing ready-made copra, they procure fresh native coconuts and carry out the entire copra-making process themselves. This gives them complete control over one of the most important stages of coconut oil production and avoids common shortcuts like sulphur drying.
The coconut is sun-dried to make copra which is then slowly cold pressed at 16-18 RPM, rested naturally for about a 10 days, and filtered before packing.
What to Expect
Pure coconut oil naturally solidifies in cooler weather and turns clear again when warmed. This is a natural characteristic of unrefined coconut oil and does not affect its quality.
You may also notice tiny natural particles settling at the bottom over time. These are fine coconut solids that remain because the oil is single filtered through muslin cloth rather than heavily refined. They are completely safe to consume. Simply shake the bottle gently if you prefer them evenly mixed.
