Swadesi Way’s Chana Sattu is made by stone-grinding naturally grown roasted desi chana (Bengal gram), making it rich in protein, fiber, and essential nutrients. With its earthy aroma and cooling nature, Sattu is a power-packed traditional superfood used for centuries in Indian homes.
It is energizing, easy to digest, and a go-to summer drink in many regions of India.
Why Choose Our Chana Sattu?
Sourced from naturally grown chana and stone-ground in small batches, this Sattu is a wholesome blend of nutrition and tradition. The roasting process not only brings out a rich, nutty flavor, but also removes the outer layer, making it easier to digest and absorb.
It’s a high-protein, low-GI flour packed with iron, fiber, and energy, perfect for diabetics, fitness-conscious individuals, and anyone looking for clean nutrition.
Farm to Plate Journey
The Desi Chana (Bengal gram) in your Sattu is grown naturally by Ratan Lal, a farmer from Amda Jaivik Kheti Samuh, a dedicated group of farmers from Udaipur, Rajasthan. These farmers follow traditional, chemical-free farming methods that respect the soil, water, and biodiversity, with guidance and support from Banyan Roots, a grass-root food and farming collective in Udaipur.
Once harvested, the chana is sent to Banyan Roots. Here, the chana is roasted, which naturally removes its outer skin and enhances digestibility, and also brings out its signature nutty aroma.
The roasted chana is then stone-ground in small batches every few days, ensuring freshness, nutrition, and flavor in every spoon.
By choosing this Sattu, you support a transparent farm-to-plate chain rooted in trust, sustainability, and community well-being, from Ratan Lal’s field to your kitchen
