Black Wheat Daliya is made from the rare, nutrient-rich Black Wheat (Kala Gehu), gently broken into coarse grains for slow, nourishing meals. With its natural dark hue and earthy flavour, this daliya is ideal for wholesome breakfasts, light dinners, and everyday comfort food.
The dark colour comes from anthocyanins, natural antioxidants also found in blueberries.
This is not a processed or “instant” grain, but a traditional, climate-appropriate wheat, thoughtfully milled to retain its natural character and nutrition.
Why Black Wheat Daliya?
Antioxidant-rich nutrition
Naturally high in anthocyanins, supporting immunity, cellular health, and healthy ageing.
Iron & Zinc rich
Contains significantly higher iron and zinc compared to regular wheat, helping support energy levels and overall vitality.
High dietary fibre
Supports digestion, keeps you fuller for longer, and helps maintain steady energy through the day.
Low glycemic index
Helps manage blood sugar levels, making it a thoughtful choice for people looking to eat more mindfully, and making it diabetic friendly.
Black wheat is not an “exotic” or “premium” grain. It is a climate-appropriate, nutritionally rich wheat that simply deserves its place back on our plates.

Farm to Plate Journey
Our Black Wheat is sourced from small and marginal farmers in Western Rajasthan, working with Bahula Naturals, a regionally rooted farmer collective.
This semi-arid landscape requires crops that work with the land, not against it and Black Wheat fits naturally here.
- Grown using chemical-free farming practices
- Focus on soil health and long-term productivity
- Tolerates temperature fluctuations during the growing season
Bahula Naturals works directly with farmers, providing agronomy support and assured procurement. They procure and process the grain carefully using a traditional stone-chakki to preserve its fibre, nutrients, and natural structure, without industrial refining and polishing.
