Stone-Ground Bansi Wheat Flour for Everyday Rotis
Swadesi Way’s Bansi Wheat Flour is made from the indigenous Desi Bansi variety, organically grown by women farmers near Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Recognized by its golden-yellow hue, slightly coarse yet soft texture, and rich nutty taste, Bansi wheat is a healthier choice compared to modern hybrid wheats.
Known for its low glycemic index, high fiber, and easy digestibility, Bansi wheat flour makes everyday rotis, theplas, and bhakris that stay soft for longer and support your health naturally.
Unlike refined wheat, Bansi flour is stone-ground at a slow speed, retaining its natural vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients — giving you wholesome nutrition in every bite.
Farm to Plate Journey
Sourced directly from Ekta FPO, a collective of 650 women farmers near Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, who practice certified organic farming. These women work in groups of 10–15, sharing skills, knowledge, and resources, and are supported by Shramik Bharti NGO for training in sustainable farming, health, and nutrition.
After harvesting, the wheat is stored in dedicated mini-warehouses and supplied fresh every month. It is then stone-ground at a slow speed to preserve maximum nutrition and packed in resealable pouches to maintain freshness and quality.
