Shaukat, a farmer of Kashmir who grows the dry fruits believes in trusting the natural process; he says that every tree is unique in the fruit it bears & that every nut must have the earthy freshness of being plucked straight from the farms. With this in spirit, he doesn’t wash the dry fruits in chemicals & plucks them in fresh batches.
In a similar story of trusting the process, the Clay Diyas are handcrafted by a community of disadvantaged women from Ghazipur area in Delhi. With a leap of faith, these women lead the example of changing the journey, learning the art of diya making & bringing light into the homes (theirs & ours).
